100- Level (1 st Year)

CRO150 Introductory Croatian I
(First and second semester)
A unit for those with no previous knowledge of Croatian. Essentials of grammar, reading, writing and drills on useful expressions will give the students a basic knowledge of Croatian.

CRO155 Introductory Croatian II
(First and second semester)
This unit is for students with knowledge of Croatian equivalent to completing CRO103 or CRO150. Students receive a further grounding in the structure of Croatian and the vocabulary needed for everyday conversation.

CRO108 Croatian Culture and Civilisation
(First and second semester)
The aim of the unit is to acquaint students otherwise unfamiliar with Croatia and its contributions to world culture. It will deal with the social, economical, political and cultural development and history of Croatia . This unit is taught in English.

CRO160 Introductory Croatian III
The unit is based on close reading of texts (fiction/non-fiction) written exercises, designed to prepare students with only elementary knowledge of Croatian for CRO250.

CRO180
Introductory Residential Unit in Croatia
Four weeks of introductory Croatian language and culture study in Croatia at University of Split (and in some cases University of Zagreb).
