The annual budget for the Croatian Studies Centre is funded by contributions from

• The Ministry for Science, Education and Sport, Republic of Croatia
• Macquarie University, based on student enrolments in Croatian Studies
• The Croatian Studies Foundation

In 2003, a new 10 year Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, Republic of Croatia , Macquarie University, and the Croatian Studies Foundation, which has secured financial contributions of approximately $70,000 per year until 2014. This represents approximately one third of required operating costs.

Macquarie University , as a result of the student enrolments in the Croatian Studies courses, contributes another third of the required Budget. The Foundation provides the remaining funds, which are also approximately one third of the Budget.

The Foundation, therefore, depends on community contributions to sustain the studies program, without this support, funds will run out in approximately 5 years. The Foundation, each year, needs to raise over $80,000, towards the Budget.
