CRO230 Croatian Literature
The unit examines authors of Croatian realism, modern as well as contemporary Croatian authors (from Budak and Krleza to Marinkovic and Gavran). Some texts are offered in Croatian, and the majority of texts are available in both Croatian and English.
CRO250 Intermediate Croatian I
Morphology: Categories of gender, number and case. Declension of nouns, adjectives, pronouns and numerals. Verbs: Category of number, person, voice, tense and mood. Tenses, moods, aspects of verbs. Derivation. Common phraseology.
CRO255 Intermediate Croatian II
An appropriate review of morphology. Introduction to phonetics and phonology with particular attention to pronunciation and phonemes, especially those which have no equivalent in English. Changes in sounds. Croatian standard accentuation. Oral practice and written composition.
CRO 280 Residential Unit in Croatia
Four weeks of intermediate Croatian language and culture study in Croatia at University of Split (and in some cases University of Zagreb).
